Sharon started her singing career with ‘MUSIC ENCOUNTER’, and later joined her father, world-renowned jazz saxophonist, Braz Gonsalves, performing every night at the CENTAUR HOTEL. She then sang for ‘FRIENDSHIP CLAN’ one of the hottest gig bands in Bombay at the time. A couple of years later, Sharon joined the famous ‘AQUA FLOW’ and in fact is one of its founder members. With them, she performed in all major cities in India for stage shows and dances, and for the famous carnival in Goa. Sharon, along with her family band has also enthralled audiences in Toronto, Canada, where she lived for 2 years. On returning to Bombay, She then joined the band ‘HI-TIDE’, performing with them all over India, singing at prestigious events such as the Navy Ball, the Ricky Martin Show at the Oberoi, and other such major events. She performed at the SOALTEE CROWN PLAZA, Katmandu in 2001 on New Years Eve.
Sharon has also done backing vocals for the Colonial Cousins most recently in New York for the Incredible India event.
She is also a studio back up singer and a part of the Bollywood film industry. She has worked for music directors such as Anu Malik, Daboo Malik, Sandesh Shandiliya, Ismail Darbar, Rajesh Roshan, Himesh Reshammiya, Jatin Lalit and Nadeem Shravan. She has also done backing vocals on hit Indi Pop albums by Akbar Sami, Adnan Sami, Sukhwindara Singh, Daler Mehndi, Vikas Bhalla, Tanya Singh, Suchitra Krishnamoorty, Shaan etc. to name just a few. She has also worked with music producers Leslie Lewis, Loy-Ehsaan-Shankar, Shantanu Mohitre and Raju Singh
